Our Owners:

Dean Plummer,  Level 1 trainer, is a New Jersey native that has lived in Georgia for the past 15 years. He has lived in the Villa Rica area for the last ten years. Dean is an accomplished runner. He has currently run in 15 marathons across the United States, including Chicago, Boston, and New York. Dean started CrossFit two years ago. His "engine" is a thing to be respected and he has seen great improvements in his running abilities from adding in strength gains from CrossFit. Opening CrossFit Iron Rail is more than helping people achieve their fitness goals. It is a place where people can push themselves physically, mentally and spiritually. Dean wants to help people become who they always thought that they could be alongside others on the same journey.

Laurin Plummer is a CrossFit Level 2 Trainer. She has lived in the Villa Rica area for the last ten years. With a background in gymnastics, CrossFit was the perfect way to use some of those skills to gain strength and get fit. CrossFit changed how she previously viewed working out and made it exciting and challenging. Watching people exceed their own physical and mental limitations is what drove Laurin to want to open a box. CrossFit helps people in so many ways, not all of them physical. The mental transformation is sometimes more fantastic than anything!

Our Coaches:

My name is AJ Skidmore.  I have lived in Villa Rica since 2016.  I have a wife named Ashlan and two daughters named Tinslee and Ivee.

When I first found CrossFit, two years ago, I not not doing anything to better my health.  The first day of class, I WAS HOOKED!  I fell in love with the community, the competition ,and making myself better with nutrition and health.  I loved all the coaches.  They took time with each athlete to teach and perfect movements.

When an opportunity was presented to become a trainer, my response was, "heck yeah!"  Doing CrossFit was one of the best decisions I've ever made.

I am Rehet Christensen but known by my CrossFit family as Re (I have some weird pronunciation to my name). I am from South-Africa and my home language is Afrikaans. I joined CrossFit Iron Rail 3.5 years ago. My husband (Peter Christensen) and I moved to Villa Rica for his work and I knew absolutely no one. Someone told me about CFIR and the amazing wonderful people there.

I joined, initially, to meet people and be part of a community. Oh my word, was this person totally right:) I first fell in love with the people!! A few weeks into Crossfit took me to another level of fitness, and one good morning I realized that I totally fell in love with CrossFit, too.

I became a Level-1 trainer August 2018. I hope to do this for many years to come.

If you reading this, I would like to encourage you to come try CrossFit! But I warn you, it’s addictive and trust me, you too will fall in love with these awesome people.  I am totally blessed and honored      to be part of this most amazing and wonderful team at CFIR!!

My name is Cameron Hoobler.  I was born and raised in Bremen, Ga.

Growing up, I always loved playing sports, especially football.  I played all four years of football and one year of track.  After high school, I got a job at Southeastern Hose Inc. in Bremen, where I still work.

I love to compete.  After high school, I wanted to continue to compete in some fashion.  My girlfriend, Ansley Hollingsworth, invited me to come try CrossFit with her at Iron Rail.  I immediately fell in love with CrossFit and the Iron Rail family.

After going for a year, Dean and Laurin gave me the greatest opportunity, to become a coach. I have been coaching in the evenings for almost two years now.  I love watching people come in and accomplish things they never thought they could.  That is what makes it the best job ever!
